This is what I aim for. It sucks to be categorized into a homeless person who doesn't care for the community because I do, that's why I do it.

Capitalism isn't working. Yet we continue to uphold it's values despite the growing problems. I chose homelessness because it's the only way I can afford to go to school and get an education while not selling my soul to some franchise for minimum wage and bone-grinding work. As well as the appeal of a simple life.

What's wrong with wanting to live off the land? With being nomadic and not having any 'real' address or a 'permanent' place to call 'home'? Some people, like myself, enjoy to life with the land and be with nature as often as possible. We see the pain in building our happiness on a structure made of sand. Granted, most of these laws are meant to address those homeless people who possibly abuse this beautiful lifestyle, but let's be clear who the 'enemy' is and let those who don't abuse it to live how they wish.

Thanks for the blog.Travisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14162253.post-78785348992949464322008-05-17T13:28:00.000-06:002008-05-17T13:28:00.000-06:00Thank you for your consideration of the homeless, ...Thank you for your consideration of the homeless, I believe that the more Denver talks about its homeless problem the more of a chance there is for something to be done.

As a former homeless person I have seen that the issues of the homeless are quite complex and require money and resources that the state has either cut or simply says it doesn't have. I know that many of the homeless people that you see in Denver come from other states and that is one of the significant problems in this city.

My blog if you would like to read it is at http://wwww.viewsfromexperience.blogspot.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
