Gene Patents: Just Plain Wrong.

The law prohibits you from patenting mathematical formulas. But, it does permit the patenting of the human genome. Already 20% of it is taken. Another case of intellectual property gone mad. The only redeeming part of this scenario is that, at least, a generation from now, all of that will be in the public domain. Patents last about twenty years.
