Traffic Power Case Update.

The Traffic Power suit against a blogger for comments on his blog is discussed in an update here. The good news is that the blogger appears to have a competent lawyer retained. The story was originally covered at this site here.

An answer has been prepared in the case in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada (thus, they removed the case from state court to federal court).

But for web page operators, there is a pretty easy fix. To be protected for third-party copyright infringement by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, bloggers need to pay $20 and submit a form to the U.S. Copyright Office.
