A 30 year old man from a Detroit, Michigan suburb has pleaded guilty to the felony of sending spam for fraudulent products weight loss and erectile disfunction products to hundreds of thousands of e-mail accounts. He faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. According to the Federal Trade Commission, he was the worst spammer in the world, based upon the number of Complaints that it received about his e-mails.
Charges against three alleged co-conspirators were dismissed.
