Islam is a major factor in cultural acceptance of the death penalty in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Indonesia, Libya, Sudan, Bangladesh, Somolia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Syria, Bahrain and Kuwait.
Asian countries where Islam is not a predominant factor include China, North Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Mongolia, and Singapore.
The nations that don't fit in either of these catetgories are the United States, Belarus, Botswana and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
