Avis Willeke, matriarch of the Willeke family in Colorado, died last week at the age of 91, on her late husband Raymond's birthday. He died on her birthday in 1996 and I had the good fortune to share time with both of them. She is survived by a large and vibrant family, including multiple great-grandchildren that she had the opportunity to know and love. (I'm am a (more distant than second) cousin of the Colorado members of the Willeke family).
