Ken Buck on Abortion, Birth Control & High Heels

Colorado's Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Ken Buck, is opposed to abortion except when the life of the mother is at stake:

If you believe that life begins at conception, which I do, then the exception of rape or incest, you're taking a life as a result of the crime of the father, and even though I recognize that it's a terrible misery that that life was conceived under, it is still taking a life in my view, and it's wrong.

- From "an interview with Craig Silverman on KHOW radio."

Ken Buck is opposed to hormone-based birth control methods, some other fors of the pill, IUDs, RU-486 and emergency contraception:

Buck believes life "begins at conception," so birth control methods that don't impact that (i.e. condoms, some forms of the pill) are fine with him. Others that would keep a fertilized egg from implanting like hormone-based birth control methods, some other forms of the pill, IUDs, RU-486 and what's known as the morning-after pill, are not supported by him.

Recall also that Ken Buck, in his primary campaign with Republican Jane Norton, told voters that they should vote for him because he "doesn't wear high heels."

Ken Buck's U.S. Senate opponent, incumbent Democrat Michael Bennet, is pro-choice and has never expressed opposition to Senators wearing high heels.

  1. Horrifying.
Ken Buck is too extreme for Colorado.
Even John Suthers thinks you should vote "no" on [proposed] Amendment 62.

  2. John Suthers also wrote a letter of recommendation for our newest Colorado Supreme Court justice, an employee of his who happens to be lesbian, Latina and a veteran of a Democratic administration, and has an immense fund raising edge over his Democratic opponent.

I don't like John Suthers and won't be voting for him, but he is less extreme than many of his GOP counterparts in top races in Colorado.

  3. For Colorado Democrats, once Obama endorsed Bennet Prior to our Primary Vote..THIS RACE WAS NO LONGER about EITHER Bennet OR Romanoff,
BUT ABOUT A PRESIDENT WHO IS THE Leader of our Democratic Party
STEALING OUR SENATE NOMINATION for His Candidate.

If you care about honest elections you know, that to have honest elections, We First Must Have an HONEST PRIMARY.

Since Obama, the DNC, the DSCC, Organizing For America (Obama's personal army) and our State Democratic Party Officers conspired to create this travesty, they will try to continue to do this in the future, and will do nothing to help US stop it.
SO, Only YOU & I CAN STOP IT.

The only way to stop this from happening again is to Resist It Now!

    On your Ballot, WRITE-IN "Romanoff"
or just leave the Space "BLANK"

and send a powerful message to Obama and arrogant elite Democrats.

The first step in getting honest elections is getting an honest primary. I can handle Buck for one term if the upside is getting rid of some of the Corruption in our Democratic Party.

In what alternate reality does Amendment 62 repeal Griswald and Roe and Casey?
