Webcomics 2.0

The Pale, by Cody Coltharp, bridges the line between graphic novels and anime in a new kind of online webcomic. Rather than expecting the reader to follow frames within a page, he stretches his lush paintings out in long strips that move across the screen from one frame to the next, not firmly divided from each other, under the direction of your mouse. The effect and Clotharp's personal style convey the post-modern science fiction feel of writers like Nick Sagan (the son of science popularizer Carl Sagan) and Philip K. Dick.
