Our heroine was stranded at the home of a male companion overnight without her usual toiletries, and had to improvise before heading off to her college classes. Her question was understandable.
Hah... The issue has been brought up before, but what changed in society between 1650 and now such that European men for the most part gave the peacock role? Protestantism I guess. But what was the driver? Why was the societal change successful? Cheers, Guy
