The trend was already underway pre-pandemic, with a 30% decline in the first two decades of the twenty-first century, and the chart below doesn't even reflect the further decline that has occurred post-pandemic.
As of March 2022, church attendance was still down about 25% from pre-pandemic levels, even though 97% of churches have returned to in person worship, although church attendance is only a leading indicator of church membership. A different survey finds a 45% decline in church attendance from pre-pandemic levels as of December 2022.
