We are ignoring 98.37% of all political news. We have stopped watching MSNBC. We don't read NY Times articles about politics. We don't read WSJ articles about politics. If 60 Minutes mentions Voldemort's name, then we switch away and do not return that evening.
I'm still reading political news, although I budget the amount I can tolerate each day. But, organizing it into blog posts that don't take 10 hours to write each day and an hour to read is more challenging.
