State Fossil Fuel Production Per Capita (In Dollars)

 

One good measure of how potentially beholden a state's politicians are likely to be to the fossil fuel (i.e. coal and oil and natural gas) extraction industry is the dollar value of a state's fossil fuel production per capita. The District of Columbia and other 17 U.S. states don't produce any significant amount of fossil fuels.
