I've been consistently upbeat about Denver's new Stapleton development.
Not everyone agrees with me. I know one family who was very downbeat about any new construction for years until they ultimately decided to move there. James van Hemert, Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Land Institute, writing in the January 2006 edition of the Washington Park Profile called Stapleton one of "the pretty faces of New Urbanism." Then, there is Denver Hot Pants at the Renegade Crafters blog. She is, well, considerably less complimentary in her assessment of the neighborhood. In her view, "It's the new ghetto."
