Colorado On Fire

About 2,700 acres (a little more than four square miles) burned in Denver's Jefferson County suburbs today. There were school and business closings and some people were evacuated, and you could see the fires from Denver if you were in the right place at the right time (I wasn't). But, no one was hurt or killed.

We couldn't see the fires from where we are (considerably closer - I think the area is less than 10 mi. away from us). We sure could smell the smoke, though. Could see it, too.

My daughter's still mad about not going to the playground, but at least she can breathe today.
