Metro State Loses Suit

College administration, and even more so, representing a college as an attorney, primarily involves personnel managment. The norm, even in functioning institutions on these measures is pretty poor. Metropolitian State College is famous in this state for having an administration in turmoil. So, it isn't too surprising that they lost a federal lawsuit alleging that they had created a hostile workplace for a minority tenured professor and retaliated against him, resulting in a judgment of $300,000 plus back pay and attorneys fees, a total sum likely to be well in excess of $700,000.
