Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Research Update

It had looked for a while, late last year, like most chronic fatigue syndrome cases were caused by XMRV, a retrovirus.

This led to a major wave of new research trying to replicate the finding, which has produced contradictory results. Some studies have no link to a virus contradicting the findings that showed a strong link to the virus. Publication of that research is on hold as peer viewers try to figure out what is going on in these studies.
