DIA Rail Line

The FasTracks rail line from downtown Denver to the Denver International Airport plans are coming out in an environmental impact statement. A diesel commuter train, or a several hundred million dollar more light rail train with four more stops, are considered, as are a variety of options for realigning I-70 to accomodate rail to DIA and an option to build a short trolley line to connect pieces of the system.

The Denver Post article on the subject, however, is very poorly written. It explains light rail would take 38 minutes to make the trip, while commuter rail would take 35 minutes, but doesn't even mention the express rail option which its headline proclaims has been rejected by planners. The Rocky sheds no light on the issue either.
