Padilla Has Second Day In Court

Jose Padilla has appeared for a second time in court in Miami, Florida. Nothing special happened.

It must be odd to go from being entirely isolated in a military brig to being the most well know federal criminal defendant in Florida. Most criminal defendants also don't have a related case pending in the U.S. Supreme Court for the second time while they make their initial appearances. I hope someone is making a scrap book for him. Free or not, it will make interesting reading for him as he discovers what has been going on in the world for the last three and a half years. Someone should probably buy him an almanac too. After all, he's already been Presidentially declared to be a terrorist, so he has nothing to lose, and the news summaries are brief, but informative.
