Deepwater Horizon Spill Worst In U.S. History

At an estimated 630,000 barrels of oil spilled so far, BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill is the worst in U.S. history and this spill isn't over yet either.

It is already twice as big as the 1989 grounding of the Exxon Valdez, which is now the second worst oil spill in U.S. history.

The worst oil spills in world history were the "Arabian Gulf Spills":

Beginning in late January of the 1991 Gulf War, the Iraqi Army destroyed tankers, oil terminals, and oil wells in Kuwait, causing the release of about 900,000,000 barrels of oil.

The Deepwater Horizon spill is likely to come close to being this large, before it is over.
