For most of my life, Yemen was two countries, North Yemen and South Yemen. Then it unified. Then, Tunsia's revolution spread and its generals decided to back the protesters after a massacre by snipers of men, women and children who were protesting for change, forcing the local dictator to make major concessions. Now,
six of its eighteen provinces are no longer under central government control with some Northern and some Southern provinces operating autonomously.
