Swiss Farm Subsidies.

Swiss farm subsidies are even bigger than those in the U.S. are are supported by high tariffs on agricultural goods that compete with their local and highly inefficient agriculture industry. Pork chops, for example, cost $20 a pound, and some farmers receive 90% of their income from government programs. The Swiss seem to think it is worth it, although they face pressure in trade talks to repeal them.
