Neighborhood Associations.

I've written about their role in zoning before, but the Rocky has a good examination of Denver's fairly unique system of seeking community input into city decision making through neighborhood associations today. The two most recent high profile examples of the system in action, the Washington Park Perk and Pub zoning dispute in West Washington Park, and the Washington Park School zoning dispute on the East side of the Park, are used to illustrate their role.
