We're Dealing With Terrorists The Wrong Way

Congress, our international allies, and the Courts agree. President Bush has run roughshod over the law and good policy in his "war on terror" which he now likes to call "The Long War". The illegal tactics don't improve our effectiveness. Indeed, they undermine it, by diverting resources from more effective approaches, by igniting rage against the United States, and by undermining cooperation from allies and from individuals who have a choice between reporting suspicious activity and ignoring it, but are not themselves terrorists.

Until President Bush wakes up to this fact, he is threatening our national security.
