Bad Economic News

Consumer confidence is at a 40 year low.

Housing prices are down 16% from a year ago, nationally.

The 16% drop is in 20 major cities. According to Zillow, the nationwide drop is only 8%, and in Washington Park only 2.6%.

Baltic Dry Index Drops Below 1,000 for First Time in Six Years

Someone said recently that when Joe Schmoe knows who the Treasury Secretary is, things can't be good.

What happens when they know what the BDI is?

The low in the Baltic Dry Index, a measure of shipping costs, may be good news for domestic manufacturers, as it is a sign of declining intercontinental imports.

The Dow closed at 9065.12 (up 889.35 which is +10.88%), despite the bad economic news.
