College Tuition in Colorado

Colorado had the highest percentage increase in tuition of any state this year to $4,260 on average. While Colorado tuitions remains below average in dollar terms, two more years of tuition increases at this rate would bring Colorado to the national average ($5,491), and four more years of tuition increases at this rate would make public universities in Colorado the most expensive in the nation for in-state students (currently $8,410 in Pennsylvania). Some Colorado institutions increased their tuition at a higher rate. The University of Colorado's tuition was up 28% this year. If Referendum C does not pass, similar tuition hikes are almost certain in the years to come.
