Rockies Headed To World Series

The Colorado Rockies have won the National League Champship with a four game sweep over the Arizona Diamondbacks. They won tonight's game 6-4. They will face either the Boston Red Sox or the Cleveland Indians. The Indians currently lead the Red Sox 2-1 in the best of seven series after this evening's game, but there will be at least two more games in the American League Championship, so the Rockies will go into the World Series well rested.

It will be the franchise's first World Series appearance and comes after many years of lackluster performance through the first part of this season. They just barely made it into the post-season at all, but have had a truly remarkable winning streak, winning 21 out of 22 straight games. It is a made for a movie Cinderella story.
