Diploma Inflation

The United States has one of the highest college graduation and high school graduation and attendance rates in the world. But, this could be simply a matter of diploma inflation, with high school and college educations in the United States not being as meaningful as those elsewhere. The latest evidence of that is in a study which shows low reading and math literacy levels in college students, even though, of course, they exceed the average for adults.
